Meeting Recorder

Meeting recorder that returns a diarised transcript and a summary

A desktop app that records a meeting and returns a transcript with speakers separated, plus a summary. Both steps are pluggable: cloud services by default, or switch to Whisper running on your own machine and your own endpoint — where the data goes is your call.

Desktop app · install required github.com/dongphuongman/meeting-notes

Key Features

Records the microphone and the system audio
Transcript with each speaker labelled separately
Summary from Qwen, Kimi or any OpenAI-compatible model

Export the result as Markdown

How it works

The app has no backend — there is nothing to upload to. Audio, transcript, speaker names and exports all sit in your own user data folder. Only the step you choose to send out goes out: point transcription at a local Whisper server and the summary at Ollama or LM Studio, and nothing leaves the machine.
